Here are the links to the sanders on Grizzly's site:
4" x 1/1/8" Sander
7 1/2" x 2 1/4" Sander

I've been pondering which size to get. I can think of good reasons to have both but will start with one. Opinions?

Terrence -- I just used mine last night for the first time -- Not sure I have the hang of it yet for doing necks. It sure is nice for sanding the waist and cutaway area I used to do with sandpaper wrapped around dowel.

For you Canadian gents thinking of getting one -- make sure you order plenty of sanding sleeves in a variety of grits. At some point I'll need to search for a Canadian supplier for the sanding sleeves.

Scott, I've got the 4" x 1-1/8" based on the recommendation of a luthier.

Terry, hope I didn't leave the impression I didn't like using it -- I just don't have the hang of it. That and the heel I was carving is for an archtop guitar -- I can see how it would be dandy for the style you carve.

Anthony--That "luthier" probably doesn't know what he's talking about. He should have recommended the little one first and the big one next. It must have been a plot to get you to buy both

Nelson -- the "luthier" in question did recommend the little one which is the one I've got.

Strangely enough that very same gifted luthier and valued friend - coincidentally has the initals N.P. (go figure)

Using this tool just for the waist and cutaway area alone made it a very worthwhile purchase.
